Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 20, 2026 · Joice Tree Service
1. Scope of Work & Estimates
Joice Tree Service agrees to perform all arboricultural services (tree trimming, felling, technical rigging, stump grinding, and debris haul-off) in accordance with the written or verbal estimate provided to the client. Any changes, additional limbs, or concealed hazards discovered during work will be discussed and agreed upon prior to execution.
2. Standards & No-Topping Policy
We operate strictly under American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A300 pruning guidelines and ANSI Z133 safety requirements. We reserve the right to decline requests for tree topping or destructive lion-tailing, as these practices violate professional arboricultural standards and create long-term structural liabilities.
3. Property Protection & Site Access
The client agrees to provide safe, unimpeded access to the work area, including moving vehicles, outdoor furniture, pet containment, and unlocking gates. While our crew takes rigorous precautions (including controlled rope lowering and lawn protection), the client acknowledges that tree removal inherently involves heavy timber operations.
4. Underground Utilities & OKIE811
For stump grinding or excavation, underground public utilities must be located via OKIE811 prior to mechanical grinding. Property owners must inform us of any private, unrecorded lines (such as low-voltage landscape lighting, private septic lines, or invisible dog fences).
5. Insurance & Liability
Joice Tree Service maintains full Commercial General Liability insurance ($1,000,000 / $2,000,000 policy limits). Proof of insurance certificates are readily provided upon request.
6. Payments & Invoices
Payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the contracted tree work, unless prior commercial invoicing terms have been established. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
